What’s Included in a Toilet Installation or Repair
Every job we attend — from a quick toilet repair or scheduled servicing through to a full toilet installation or sorting out a stubborn leaking toilet — follows the same thorough process. Here’s exactly what you can expect.
-
Yes — we service and repair toilets of every brand and age. From running cisterns, weak flushes and noisy fills through to dodgy buttons, worn seals and wobbly pans, we diagnose the fault, replace only what’s needed, and have everything working properly the same visit.
-
Absolutely. A leaking toilet is one of the most common call-outs we get and we deal with the lot — water pooling at the base, a cistern that won’t stop dripping, a leaking inlet line, or a faulty outlet valve. We find the source, replace the failed component, and pressure-test before we pack up so you’re not chasing the same leak next week.
-
Most straight swaps of a close-coupled toilet take 1–2 hours, including isolating the water, removing the old pan, fitting the new suite, and testing for leaks. Back-to-wall, wall-faced or in-wall cistern installations usually run 3–5 hours. If new pipework or floor work is involved we’ll quote that up front so there are no surprises on the day.
-
A full toilet installation with Newton Plumbing covers shutting off the water, removing and disposing of your old toilet, fitting the new pan and cistern, connecting the inlet, sealing the base, and a full leak test before we leave. The ceramic is recycled where the council facility allows and the metal hardware goes to scrap — no leftover pan sitting on your nature strip.
-
Yes — in-wall and concealed cistern installs are some of our most-requested toilet jobs. They’re best planned in with a renovation since the wall has to be opened and the frame system braced to take the cistern. We work with Geberit, Caroma Invisi II and similar frame systems. If you’re mid-reno, get us in before the plasterer arrives so we can pre-plumb the rough-in correctly and pressure-test long before tiles go on.
